Ken began his love of woodworking while in junior high. One of his first projects was a walnut bowl which he still has. He is a self taught woodturner, and studied furniture making at Oregon College of Arts and Craft.

Prior to turning and furniture making Ken was an engineer and machinist. Because of his background, he strives for perfection with all of his projects.

Ken is most well-known for the wooden bells that he turns each year for Christmas.  He has been making a different bell for the past 25 years. His furniture is typically made from local wood. Ken’s favorite woods are Oregon black walnut and maple. Most of the furniture is made to order with the customer helping select the wood. Tables with live edges and rocking chairs are his specialty.

Ken’s furniture is featured at George Fox University, The Allison Inn and Spa, Stoller Family Vineyards tasting room, The Arlington Club wine room, and Rain Dance Vineyards tasting room and is part of several private collections. His work is for sale at his gallery in the Rain Dance Vineyards tasting room.
